Fashions Best Kept Secret!!

Every one from Chanel, Paul Smith, Oasis, Marni and Primark go to her for vintage finds and runway inspiration. She knew Chanel's AW12 collection would be ice, before anyone else - because they came to her studio for fashion inspiration! And not to forget some say she is solely responsible for the widely popular scarf trend this season!

Fashions best kept secret.... until now! Say hello to Nicky Albrechtsen. Located in London, a former costume designer, she runs Vintage Labels hiring and selling to the fashion industry. She lives and breathes fashion and is the author of the books Scarves and The Printed Square.

Scarf design for textiles that Henry Moore produced for Ascher, 1947
Her passion and love of fashion has resulted in an incredible vintage collection including thousands of scarves, her favorite scarves are vintage Ascher, which can only be described as pieces of art which should be framed and hanged accordingly.

This week I attended the Fashion and Textile Museum to celebrate the launch of Oasis's Scarf Print Collection. They hosted a live Q and A with Nicky and Oasis Design Director Clive - chaired by Grazia's Fashion Editor at Large Melanie Rickey. It was great to listen to the passion both Nicky and Clive both have for fashion and the story behind Nicky's fashion treasure trove inspiring a collection at Oasis.

The Scarf Print collection at Oasis is pretty, playful and modern. The dresses bring a breathe of fresh air to the collections on the high street right now and they have been lovingly and thoughtfully designed by the designer team at Oasis, inspired by Nicky's books and vintage treasures. I recommend you go to your nearest Oasis store and check out the collection before anyone else snaps it up! You can also buy Nicky Albrechtsen latest book with the collection in Oasis- very handy.
